DARILENE is our registered affix at the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA). It was derived from our names, Darius and Lené.
Where are we situated:
We live on an apple and pear producing farm in the beautiful Langkloof, on the famous Route 62. We are situated halfway between Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape) and George (Western Cape), making it easy to send puppies via airplane to different airports within South Africa.
Where it all started:
I've loved Pomeranians for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me my first Pomeranian when I was eleven years old. She was part of my life for almost 12 years before her life ended.
My husband, Darius and I got married after six years of dating and bought our first male and female Pomeranian in 2009 from Dorolinda Pomeranians in Harrismith. We started breeding at the end of 2010 and our first litter of four puppies were born 63 days later, in February 2011.
Since April this year, we started buying more Pomeranians for breeding and showing purposes from excellent well known South African breeders - Mildred McCluskey of Silverglow Pomeranians; Charlene Booysen of Pomelene Pomeranians and Susan Lombaard of Forsan Pomeranians.
Our goal:
We strive to breed Pomeranians of the highest possible quality, with sound temperament and type and thick coats, according to the KUSA breed standard.
Our puppies:
We love our Pomeranians dearly and treat them as children in our home. All born puppies are taken care of indoors, where we can keep an eye on their feeding, whilst keeping them warm and giving them lots of attention and love. This ensures well socialized puppies when ready to be placed at their new homes from 8 weeks onwards.
All our puppies are registered at the Kennel Union of Southern Africa, for which the new owner will receive a certificate. At 6 weeks they are dewormed and vaccinated, as well as micro chipped. Our puppies are sent to their new owners from 8 weeks onwards, strong enough to be sent via airplane if need be.
